tinkerbell half marathon
This morning I ran the Disneyland half marathon. After 4 hours of sleep we got the kids up at 430a and drove to Disneyland. Before the park opened we ran around and through the park. It was a fun race and distracting enough for me to forget that I was running 13.1 miles…or at least until the 10th mile when my body reminded me it hurt
.
This was tinkerbell themed so there were many people dressed up in fairy costumes as well as any and all other Disney costumes. I had to give it to a few racers because I barely could stand to carry my iPod and they had wings, tutus and wands!! If I do it again next year I might try to dress up a little.
Bill was also a trooper and walked his own half marathon with the kids to find points during the race to cheer me on. It was a huge help and gave me a much needed boost.
When we were making signs a few days before the race I asked Aidan what he wanted to put on his sign and he said, “I love you and Go Mommy Go!!” it made my heart melt.
(enclosed is not the most flattering photo since I had stopped at the 11.5 mile mark for this photo..I think I was in the middle of saying, “ugh, Maddie is heavy.”
I took the photo of bill and Maddie while I was running. It was the only photo I took. There were lots of stops to Take photos with characters but I was running solo (so no extra photographer) and I felt like it I stopped to wait in line that I might not finish

First hair cut by mom
Aidans hair has been getting longer so I thought that I would attempt to save some money and cut it myself. My cousin cuts hair so she kinda walked me through what I needed to do…but quite frankly she made it look about a million times easier.
Plus first hair cut on a squirming 3 year old was an added challenge.
Not bad for my first attempt. But I think I can find other ways to save that $20

Hanging out with mommy at the timeshare in San Diego
Saturday in San Francisco
Today we woke up early and headed to our favorite place the "crepevine" for breakfast and then over to the California Academy of sciences. They had some really great natural history exhibits as well as a large aquarium down stairs. Aidan really loved it.
Then we popped over to raider image to pick up a few raider items before the game…and to give Bill a teaser for all his excitement for tomorrow. It also gave us a destination whie the kids slept in the backseat. San Francisco is an awesome city could use some improvements to be more child (aka stroller) or vehicle friendly .
After naps we went to crissy field which is just east of golden gate park. I have never been back in that area and I can’t believe I had been missing it all these years!!! I llove going to the palace of fine arts but I didn’t realize that just a stones throw was a majestic walk right through the marina and with the awesome view of the golden gate. Loved it!! Aidan flew one of the cheap kites I had lying in the back of the van. He lloved it. I brought my old blanket and we stayed as the sun set over the golden gate. I got to play with my camera and caught a few good shots of the kids. This was one of Maddie Mei. Perfect late afternoon activity.
After we drove back to the hotel, had dinner and kids and dad crashed before 9p.
Tomorrow Bill wants the family AT the raiders hotel in oakland BY 10am….(game starts at 1p) …guess he is excited.
Off to bed for our early call time

Morning in Pismo…
Last night we started our journey for our annual trip to San f
Francisco and Oakland. We stopped in Pismo at "our" hotel – the hotel we stayed at the night he proposed. We will have breakfast and then head up to San francisco for two days and then to Oakland for the Sunday football game. A perfect "his" and "hers" anniversary vacation!!
This was our first morning traveling with the two alone
